Hey there! I’m Lindsey Mackenzie and i am 28 years old, a baker who’s been in the game for eight years, thanks to my family’s bakery. I got my start early, learning the ropes from my dad, a seasoned baker himself. Over time, I got fully into the flour-covered world of whipping up tasty treats.
When my dad decided to retire due to old age, I took over the bakery to keep the family tradition alive. I wanted to make sure I was still creating goodies that would make him proud. But my love for baking goes beyond just the family shop.
Alongside being a baker, I’ve dived into writing, especially focusing on articles about sourdough and tackling common baking issues. As a freelance writer, I’ve shared my tips on various websites, spreading my baking knowledge to enthusiasts worldwide.
Fueled by the dream of creating a space for baking lovers, I jumped into website creation and started Bake smartly. It’s a one-woman show for now – I handle everything from creating content to sharing useful baking tips and recipes. Bake smartly isn’t just about my experiences; it’s a community where bakers can gather to learn, share, and boost their love for baking.
